Gamers Ignore Corpse in Internet Cafe
To say that the gamers in Taipei are hardcore would be doing them a great injustice, they are inhuman. Other gamers noticed he had stopped moving, but continued to play. Now that's [H]ard.
"I thought that he was only dozing off and paid no particular attention," the clerk said, adding that when he went to wake Chen up when his 23 hours were up, he saw that his face was blackened and that he was sitting rigidly in the sofa chair.

Smartphone Sales Overtake PCs for the First Time
It's been coming, we all knew it would, but we just didn't think it would come quite this fast. The personal computer has been usurped by the smartphone in overall sales in 2011. That's really an amazing accomplishment in such a short span of time that we have been using the smartphone compared to the overall lifespan of the PC.
Of course, this doesn't mean PCs are dead. The global PC market grew 15% in 2011

Young People Followed SOPA News More Than Election News
Maybe congratulations are in order for the creators of the SOPA/PIPA bills for the impact they accidentally created in waking up the young users of the Internet. It takes a lot to start a movement and raise awareness of events occurring around us, especially with the under thirty crowd.
Their ridiculously bad miscalculation in introducing ridiculously bad bills has now awakened a very large percentage of young people to these issues, in a way that won't just go away.

The FBI has reluctantly admitted that the Hactivist group Anonymous was able to break security protocols and listen in on a conversation between the Agency and UK Police concerning what else, but the group Anonymous itself.
At the very least, such an intrusion is an embarrassment for the FBI, which should be securing its conference call lines.

Corsair Force Series 3 and Force Series GT SSD
PC Perspective has thrown a little review action on Corsair's Force Series 3 and Force Series GT SSDs. So what's the verdict? Hit the link and see for yourself. Here's a quote to get you started:
Corsair has met a good mark with their Force Series 3 and Force Series GT offerings. While the performance is inline with other models sporting the stock SandForce firmware, where they win folks over is with the aggressive pricing and broad range of capacity available across both product lines. Cost/GB figures approaching the $1/GB mark is definitely something we want to see for SSD adoption to improve, and Corsair is absolutely delivering in that respect.

First they hired Nintendo's PR guy now they have the former head of Xbox Live marketing working for them? Hmmm, kinda makes you wonder what Apple has in the works, doesn't it?
Burrowes is Apple's new head of App Store Marketing for iTunes Europe. Prior to that, he worked at Microsoft for seven years, leading product, business, and marketing management of Xbox Live across the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
