The Hard Drive has been, is, and forever will be the largest bottleneck in any computer's performance! Not many people know, that traditional hard drives performance actually degrade as you near filling them to capacity. Ideally, you want 50% free space, but maintaining a minimum of 25% free space is usually the best rule of thumb... any less & performance of entire system will drop dramatically.
